I had the pleasure of following several strands at the request of my administrator. I was particularly interested in the Family Literacy and GED portions of the symposium.
The information passed out in the Literacy strand was brought back to our site and utilized at our Family Literacy satellite locations. I learned the most efficient use of Parent and Child Together (PACT) time. The purpose and best practice of this portion of a literacy program. I was disappointed to learn that the PTF's were being redefined. I believe they brought information forward in a concise way and instituted many effective papers, for educators and administrators. I totally enjoyed the PTF Symposium and the networking with other professionals.
